Instructions for Posting - PLEASE READ!

Hi everyone!

This forum is designed for tracking the processing times of individual visa applications.

It is not a place to ask questions about an immigration application, e.g. "How long will it take?" If you have questions, please post them in the main Australian Visas & Immigration forum.

If you are applying for a visa to Australia, create a completely new thread of your own (click "New Topic"). I highly suggest putting whatever visa you're applying for in the subject line. For example, here's what mine would look like:

"Spouse Visa -- Onshore"

Then list dates and details of everything you've done so far. For example, if you submitted your spouse visa application and sent for your FBI and state checks, your list might look like this:

FBI checks requested: Jan X, 20XX
State (TX) checks requested: XXXXX
Application for Partner Migration submitted: XXXXX

Then if later on you receive acknowledgment of your application and your state checks come back, you can "reply" to your thread (or edit your original post) and add:

Acknowledgment received: XXXX
State checks received: XXXX

and so on. The more details you put in, the better! Hopefully this forum will be a way for others to get a clearer picture of how long a particular visa takes to get.
