http://www.tigerairways.com/ Budget airline (associated with Singapore Airlines) flying to many Southeast Asian destinations. They currently fly out of Perth, Darwin, and Melbourne, and offer quite cheap airfares. http://www.lastminute.com.au/ A great resource for last minute flights, hotels, holidays, etc. at low prices (hence the name). And if you're brave, you can also book "secret" hotels for up to 75% off the normal price. Only catch? You won't know what hotel you're staying at until you've made the booking. (I've done this myself, and it's not bad!) |

There's a new international airline starting up late next year. V Australia (virgin) http://www.vaustralia.com.au/ Supposed to start flying around September 08 roughly- first route will be to LA- so keep your eyes out for discounts- not sure if there will be any, but it will at least be some new competition for Qantas so maybe there will be some cheap fares around that time. |
