Hi Susan, sorry its been so rough for you. Its definately hard being a step parent. What does hubby think about it all? The funny thing is that kids (well most people really LOL) often think the grass is greener on the other side, but once they get there they realize there are the same issues. I guess all they know is that its their mum and dont fully understand all the complexities of the situation. I dont really know what to say. Things probably wont get easier until your step daughter can be with her mum, even though that maybe whats not good for her. She would have a lot of resentment to the fact that she cant. Unfortunately kids dont understand the ways of the world and why adults have made decisions they have, so you can understand how hard it is for them and the blame that they place on anyone and anything that they think is standing in their way.... Hopefully things will get a bit easier for you...it can be a real strain on your life and relationship.... Thinking of you my dear. Love Robyn |
