Hey everyone, I know I've been MIA for a verrrrrrry long time and some or most of you may not remember me, but it's Rissa here, back again to say hello. :redpepper: Still love those dancing veggies. Anyway, for most of the months I've been gone I've just been lurking--sometimes I do that--but my husband and I did actually move to Melbourne between February and May and we had no internet at our new place for those three months which was pretty :arrgh: . It was an apartment paid for by his company so we really had no choice. We have our own place now in Spotswood (with internet), so hopefully I will be popping up a lot more on here! |

Bout as freezing as Hobart....Crikey, I wiped the windowsills today as the windows are all watery, and couldnt figure out why the windowsills werent wiping off... water had become ice, hadnt it!!!! :arrgh: Anyway, good to see you back....fill us in when you can  Love Robyn |

Yeah, my hubby's still in the company program, which means by the end of the year he'll be put in a well-paid manager position. I'm so proud of him.
The big city is certainly interesting. It's so big and there's so many new things that it can be a bit intimidating. But there's a lot more variety here as far as food and stuff (mmmm, Baskin Robbins), plus I've found some new things to enjoy, like Bubble Tea. I'd heard about it before but never tried it and now I'm hooked! Anywho, so things are going pretty well on my end and it's definitely good to be back and seeing all your friendly faces!

Oh, yes, and it's quite cold here. I wouldn't mind it so much except that our house has no heating AND our water heater is only 50L (VERY small) so our showers only stay hot for about six minutes. I'm enjoying the clouds and frequent rain here, but after a couple of hours on the computer my hands tend to go numb! And that's to say nothing of doing the dishes in freezing water since I don't want to waste the hot. :& Anyway, I am super happy that our new place has a bathtub. I haven't been able to take a proper bath for a year now and we actually do have enough hot water to fill it, so that's all right. |
