Well, guys...just a quick update, okay? I've finished the 4th of my 9-week schedule with my chiropractor. I've had good days and bad days...mostly bad, but I feel the schedule has been somewhat helpful; let's just say I'm optimistic. I've had several adjustments with meds (that first battery of meds sent me on a LOOP, I tellya!), and my doctor has me now on a dosage I can live with! The car was deemed a total loss, but it still drives, and I've been able to drive it again for the past couple weeks. I did hire a lawyer to handle everything, so that may cut into our moving plans....but we'll just have to see how that goes. As far as the application process: I got an email from my CO this morning asking to forward our recent bank statements. I sent them by express mail so she'll get them tomorrow by noon. The balance does not reflect what we really have saved up for our move. I doubt this--but I can't help to wonder...does she want our statements to check our balance to make sure we're not a pair of paupers trying to get into the country and immediately apply for welfare? Would we be denied for not having a sufficient balance on our statements? I'm actually not that worried, but I just can't figure why she wanted the statements, and why she didn't ask for them the first time she contacted me. Can anyone enlighten me on that one? Anyway, just thought I'd chime in. Cheers! |

Hi there, I'm not sure about your particular visa circumstances, i.e. under what conditions you're coming to AU, but I seem to recall having to supply proof of regular income DESPITE the fact that we were coming here, sponsored by an employer! I don't know what information she could get from looking at your bank account other than balance. I mean, hopefully she's not going to run away with your acccount numbers! |

Obviously, that's always a concern. Mark and I have had issues in the past with bureaucratic agencies asking for things like this...and SS#s!...among other personal info that really shouldn't be given out. :nono: We've learned to keep very little in our account now because of those past problems! So even if that is her plan (which I'm sure it isn't), she won't run off with much! |
