just curious. i know where tori lives, and i know some of you live in melbourne and perth. but i always forget who lives where. and is there anyone that lives in sydney? i asked once but no one answered. it would be nice if someone lived in sydney to maybe once in a while meet up with another fellow american for a coffee/tea, day of shopping (browsing) or something of the sort! |

oh yes i remember you are from milwaukee, oblivimum.. i won't forget, especially as we shared the same panel doctor. oh geez! i'm flying out mid october. flying ANZ and so excited about that :D i hope it's as good if not better than i remember. and i'm looking forward to hopefully catching a shower when i get to NZ! i would suggest to you to actually call up ANZ. that's how i got my super rate and it all worked out the dates i wanted and all the booking fees and everything were included! i got a much better deal than i found anywhere online! |

I'm in Canada. Lived in Darwin for 2.5yrs and Newcastle for approx 1 yr. Hubby's family is in Townsville, Tassie and Melbourne. Whenever we move back to Australia it'll be to Townsville area...nice warm QLD weather :goodonya: |

Yeah, it is rather annoying that this forum software doesn't have a default "Location" tag... I'll go and see if I can find a code to add it in. In the meantime, I've noticed some people have their locations in their signatures, and that's a good way to let others know where you are & where you're from. i<3, there are a few people here in Sydney... Dee, Susan, and SanDiablo off the top of my head. Chris aka ElPasotoSydney is headed there too. If you want to meet up with Americans, I know the person that runs the Sydney Expat American Meetup group which meets on the last Thursday of every month. And maybe next time we go down there for a visit, we could get together too...

thanks tori! i don't know if a big group meetup would be too much for me right away, especially people i don't know that well. i'm a bit shy! (i know it might not seem so here, but in person initially, i really am!) but anyone from here, yeah.. let me know if you are in sydney and keen to meet up for a coffee or walk or something in the city. i love wandering around the city
