Rissa,

What about New Hampshire, you got the White Mountains, people, snow, 4 distinct seasons, snow...oh and ...... THE FRANK FAMILY....LOL!! :rollin:

If hockey is your passion, Boston Bruins(NHL) are 1 hr away, then there is the Red Sox(MLB), Patriots (NFL), and Celtics(NBA).

I have heard great things about Colorado. Even considered moving there. It sounds good.

Once we've got a deposit we're thinking about moving to Colorado Springs, since it fits all of our criteria--beautiful (I loved living near mountains), has four distinct seasons (Snow, people, snow!), close to a hockey team (Avalanche), big enough to have opportunities but not so large we'll feel unsafe (population is about 350,000), close to a huge city (Denver), and I've lived there so I know my way around.  But you never know, things could change in the time it takes to save up a deposit, we could end up anywhere.

Hey Rissa
I was born & raised in Colorado Springs, so if I can give you any help/advice on that front please just ask. It truly is a beautiful place to live, although you must have vast patience... getting around that town can and will be a zoo most of the time. The town grew too fast and the city planners have not done a very good job of keeping up with the infrastructure. It is an exercise in patience whenever I go home. I love Colorado more than I can ever put into words and miss it all the time, so let me put a vote for moving there. :goodonya:

I only lived in Colorado for a year, my junior year of high school, so I was just getting into driving and don't remember much about the city set-up. However, I do remember having trouble getting around when hubby and I drove through on our roadtrip; I couldn't seem to find Templeton Gap road. :headscratch:
