You have NO IDEA how knowing that makes me feel right now.

I don't even know!

Relieved. Excited. Delirious. Free birth and epidural. No worrying about if something goes wrong how we're going to pay $2000 a night for ICU for the little guy... I could cry.

Then again, everything makes me cry right now. Including the series finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Pregnancy is a weird WEIRD thing...

My hubby and I met online as well. We mentioned that we had IM archives if they wanted them as well as emails.

They didn't ask. :)

Nah, don't think that's pregnancy, I cry at that and the finale of Angel and Charmed and... ;)

Jason and I met online and we don't send emails much, we rely on Yahoo, WoW, and phone calls. We both use the prepaid phones so I really don't know if they keep records of that. The thought of the eventual couples interview just scares me silly.

This is another wonderful thread, btw :)

Isn't this wonderful?! I think we're ready to apply for Immi after just one day on here, and that wasn't even our intention!

Thank god they don't want IM conversations... I don't know how many of those are safe for Immi hands, as is we're weeding through emails and letters that we're willing to have someone else look at. I'm sure I don't need to clarify, I think it's safe to say we've all done the long distance thing...

Pamm, you've read what I have on here, and I thought we were going to be STRUGGLING but it's amazing what I scraped together in just a few hours yesterday. I'm SO not worried anymore. Melyssa and I were clearly meant to be together and there's no way anyone else can possibly not see that. Hopefully, along with correct paperwork, that's all they're really looking for.

And thank goodness on IM's! I would be blushing like mad if I weren't able to edit them! :rollin: What can I say... and I won't ;)

Emily, I know *just* what you mean about being meant to be together. One of the things Jason said while I was struggling with our age difference was that he wouldn't change a thing because my life had made me the woman he loves. The man is absolutely the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me.

I've noticed a *lot* of us seem to have met online, I'd think by now Immi would be used to it. So maybe that accounts for them not being as scary as a lot of us think they'll be?

Here's hoping you get all settled and have Medicare by the time the little one arrives! You should only be worry about taking care of yourself and getting ready. I don't know if you've said elsewhere, but do you have a name for him yet?

Yeah, I think online relationships don't hold the same stigma they once did.

Our story is a little different from most people's because, while we met online, we didn't actually have a relationship until meeting in person. In fact, I didn't think too much of Kirk's online persona. He would say hi and how are you... and then go off and play Battlefield 1942 or Counterstrike or whatever with his gaming clan, and not bother to say goodbye! hahahaha. Drove me up the wall. But he was much better in person. ;)

But yeah, we chronicled this whole history in our "story of us" stat-dec and Immigration didn't blink an eye. They were more concerned about whether we'd made steps to create a genuine relationship together apart from all others...

Everything will be fine! Emily, you say Melyssa took on your last name? That'll count for a whole lot I'm sure!! :))

Yeah, Melyssa took my last name so our whole family will have the same surname. We're HOPING that counts for a lot but... Immi IS scary!

We do have a name picked out too, but I'm not allowed to tell. Damn Aussies are so SECRETIVE about everything having to do with pregnancy! The only reason I'm allowed to tell people what we're having is because I convinced Melyssa that we'd get better gifts that way!

Teeny bit off... but secretive? My future brother in law had a dream while his then wife was pregnant, and the baby appeared to him and told him her name was Rivkah Star. They didn't even know it was a girl then. Sure enough, Ravana soon had a baby sister... Rivkah Star :)

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you and Melyssa, but I'm betting it will be just fine, Emily :hugs:

I went on a Prospective Spouse Visa and I don't ever remember having an interview ... ever! I remember we did provide phots, letters and stat decs from people to prove our relationship was genuine, but we never had an interview.

Oh..I remember the caseworker we had in Darwin. After we gave her the information and she called to say that I could come in and pick everything up as things were approved she told us that she saw us at the shopping centre (Palmerston - Tors :-)) holding hands (we never saw her). So maybe that helped prove that we were for real :lurve: and I was pregnant at the time too
