I am crossing my fingers that we end up in a place with a Smeg(ma)-- I want the full Aussie experience! (just without the spiders!) ;)

Gee, I've never owned a Smeg appliance...come to think of it, never even seen one up here. I feel so deprived. :p

P.S. I brought only one suitcase filled to the brim.

We never have either - our landlord does!

And I say Smeg(ma) because they are, IMO, utter crap. And it's a lot of money for crap. At our rental, which is maybe like 6 years old, all the temps, symbols, etc. on every part of the oven and cooktop have worn off. None of the writing is etched in so it wore away. And the oven is extra tiny Just doesn't seem worth the cash! So don't feel deprived - you aren't missing a thing!

Brought a 40 foot container-- it was insanely large!!! But glad we did, it is so nice having our stuff, especially with 2 small children, I think it made the transition A LOT easier for them.
