candy corn is the BEST! you can get a decent sized bag for a dollar or two back home. at sugar fix it's probably like $10+!

i'm sooo tempted to call my dad and ask him to send me some, but i really really REALLY need to make a huge effort to stay away from sweets!

I love candy corn!!! It is my all-time favorite. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll get a bag from one of my friends back home!

Or, musk sticks?! Have you tried one? OMG - nasty! My daughter got one at the milk bar and brought it to me and said "here mom, try this" ... and it was pink ... and I didn't even hesitate ... and - EWWW!

I have tried a musk stick. It is like eating perfume or air freshener. They could also stand in for a urinal cake.

I actually like the musk sticks. You can also get musk-flavoured LifeSavers.

I've tried the fruit-flavoured ones too. They're not as good.

When I was a chat host for MSNBC, we had one chatter who was addicted to Peeps. I'd have known Easter was coming just by her rejoicing that they were in stores! :) Don't care for 'em myself.

...what the heck is a musk stick? I thought musk was a perfume.

Pamm, have you ever had Turkish Delight? It's kinda-sorta like that. Yeah, it's perfume. Perfume-scented-tasting candy.

Hey, Peeps are cool! I knew a guy in college who was like that too. Obsessed with Peeps. I only liked the original yellow ones. Blue and purple just didn't seem right. LOL.

So you're not much into Willy Wonka, then? :rollin:

There's lots of good chocolate here. You'll have fun trying it all. I'm a bit partial to Chokito, myself.

BTW, just to keep it on-topic, last year we bought some candy corn from Sugarfix and Kirk tried it. And hated it. LOL. "Oh well, more for me!" ;)

Speaking of chocolate ...

I bought a few bags of individually-wrapped Cadbury milk chocolate frogs, you know, in case we had trick-or-treaters. They were 2 bags for $6 at Safeway! And ... I just ate 4 of them. I always do this - overbuy halloween candy "just in case" and end up making myself sick. I'm not even a huge sweet-tooth type (gimme salty potato chips any day) - just something about halloween candy.

Good Turkish Delight is amazing. If it's made using rose water instead of the weird not-really-meant-for-consumption rose perfume, it really is delightful. :) I've only had turkish delight that lives up to its name twice, once in Adelaide and once in Maldon. Yummmm.

Yeah, real Turkish Delight is awesome. We used to get it in a local Greek restaurant. It was so nice. :lurve:
