Yanno...when I was there, one of John's friends brought me a goody bag full of "foods from Oz" and that was in there.....I tried it on a rice cake and :( I think that's definitely something you have to acquire a taste for... lol Tim Tams were awesome!!! maybe I get them a bag of the double coated ones :p

i bet you made the mistake of spreading it like you would peanut butter. when i sent some to the swine (the person to whom i'm unfortunately still married), i made sure to tell him to just wave the knife over the cracker. he became addicted to the stuff. he gave some to our brother-in-law, but plastered it on really thick, and poor jeremiah nearly died. it was pretty funny to watch though...

my 22-yr-old son has kept a jar or 2 on hand in the US, just to "gross people out, with," though he admits to eating it on toast, himself

Yeah, ditto the application in person, since you're in town... you might even call to see if you need an appointment? (you need one, here)

Vegemite is nasty  Maybe I didn't try it 'correctly' but just that small taste has turned me off enough to never try it again.

I actually really like Vegemite and I have a jar of it in my cabnet. This discussion will have to be moved over to Tucker Time now.

I highly doubt even doing that would make it taste better :(

Sugar on Vegemite? That's heresy! Though I remember my father spreading Vegemite on cinnamon/fruit buns, so maybe not for some people.
