True Blue Mate Posts: 740 Group: Members** Member #766 Joined: Nov 27, 2007	Hi all- I finally have a timeline of my own to submit! I'm currently on a 457 and have been since November 2006. I recently convinced my employer to sponsor me for permanent residency, and my application was just lodged today! So below is my timeline for a Subclass 856 visa (employer sponsored PR): 04/06/09: Medical exam completed 17/06/09: Received results from medical exam in mail, sent on to migration agent 21/06/09: Local AU police check requested 24/06/09: Fingerprints taken for FBI check, sent out to FBI same day 29/06/09: Migration agent lodges my application (without FBI and local police check) 14/07/09: FBI check received 17/09/09: Visa granted!!! Edited to add FBI check gotten back- I was incredibly pleased with the turnaround time! I had asked for it back by the 15th, and that gave them three weeks. I thought that would be pushing it but they got it back to me with a day to spare! Still no AFP check back though!! Edited by natasha_alena, Sep 17 2009, 06:47:00 PM.

The employer nomination was approved months ago- about two weeks after the whole thing was lodged, so I was getting annoyed my bit was taking so long. Come to find out- my migration agent "forgot" to send my FBI check- after I HAND DELIVERED it to him two months ago because I was so nervous it would get lost in the post. Whatever- I'm not even mad any more, I'm just thrilled it was finally granted!!!! Woo-hoo!!!

So that makes Monday the official "I'm now dinky di so I'm chucking a sickie" day, right? Just make sure you find a bulk billing place for your medical certificate. Then you'll really be true blue. lol.
