I'm looking into uni, particularly in Queensland, either University of the Sunshine Coast or James Cook University (Townsville campus....most likely this one) but ideally, I'm looking for a degree program that can be completed online. I'm going to be taking a holiday up to the areas very soon to have a look around and visit the campus. Can anyone suggest decent and reasonably priced accommodation, what the areas are like, etc?

Edited to clarify, I am considering both options, online and on campus. Just sort of shopping around at the moment.

If the degree can be completed online, why does it matter what the campus is like?

Good luck finding accomodation!

Depends on how much you are looking to spend.

I know when we go to Townsville I always look at www.realestate.com.au for a holiday rental because they are cheaper than paying a nightly rate at a hotel.

As you know Townsville is where we would be heading to live...so I happen to really like it there. It is a city of about 180,000. The uni is close to the hospital and the area is quite built up with houses etc. Shopping and restaurants are fairly close by....too far to walk, but a short bus or car drive away.
