Sticking this post here as it's more about news then actual help in obtaining a spouse visa.


'HUNDREDS of overseas-born spouses are being deported each year after failing Green Card-style intimacy tests.

Authorities have intensified efforts to expose sham marriages amid a surge in spouse visa applications.

Interesting,although I have a hard time picturing an american mail order bride/groom.Or even one from the UK for that matter.

When I went for my medical here in Perth, there was a couple in the waiting area that was extremely suss. He was about 60, very grizzled, and his wife was about 26, a young Asian girl. While it might have been a genuine love match, it's not very likely.
