How long will you be in Australia? A vacation? Work/holiday deal? Permenantly? I can't offer much advice regarding what to remember for your trip. It's impossible for me, I WILL forget something. The usual items I forget are: 1. glasses 2. socks 3. contact information of my family back home 4. copy of your visa (if you have a visa that was sent electronically). Never believe that statement "your visa number is linked with your passport number". Mine wasn't linked and I almost was refused to board the plane (luckily I had a print-off buried in my carry on). 5. A couple of pictures of friends and family 6. Adapters 7. Books. If you are a big reader and have extra room in your luggage, try to bring a few books from the USA. Books are EXPENSIVE in Australia compared to America. I'm sure I'm forgetting something of the things I commonly forget Remember, if you do forget something, you can probably buy it in Australia, so don't worry too much. Have fun!
