Second stage Perm Spouse time line: 18 Aug 2009- received paperwork for 2nd stage spouse perm residence. I wasn't asked to do an FBI check or health check,I suppose they may send requests for these later on,but hopefully not. It's going to be processed in Melb so at least I know I won't get the same worthless CO as last time! 21 Aug 2009- sent for AFP clearance check 28 Aug 2009- received AFP clearance check in the mail 4 Sept 2009- posted the paperwork to the Melb processing office 4 Nov 2009- Visa Granted!! Just thought i'd add my temp spouse time line as well First stage Onshore temp spouse time line: 4 september 2007- called and made an appointment to apply for spouse visa 2 october 2007- handed in application, including fbi and everything other than the afp(which wasn't back yet) and the medicals since we could not seem to get a answer on whether my kids had to redo theirs and if my chest xray i'd already had 6 months prior was still 'good',had interview. Interview was about 2 hours,I was a total nervous wreck with her asking very personal questions about why was my relationship better with my new husband than my ex husband but somehow we got through it. The CO requested we send in medicals for me and would 'check' if my kids needed another (since they had just recently had one for another visa and they are young enough that they didn't have to have anything like urine, blood tests or xrays)Also insisted that I get written permission from my ex for my kids to live here even though I brought custody papers and my divorce papers state I am free to live with my kids oveseas. And finally a copy of our lease. 19 october 2007- sent in everything that the CO requested, even got written permission from my ex.I also went ahead and got new medicals done for my kids since the CO never returned our call or email about it. 16 january 2008- emailed CO informing her that i'd got a new passport, also asked if there was any futher information needed. No reply. 27 February 2008- I was starting to get really frustrated so my hubby called her direct line until she actually answered. She told him she was no longer our CO.She gave him the name of the new CO. He called and got ahold of the new CO who told them she was waiting on additional relationship evidence. 28 February 2008- sent in alot more evidence, chats, txt logs, phone bill, more pictures, cards etc. 13 March 2008- Visa Granted. It was frustrating because we had no idea that they even wanted any further evidence.I am really glad we called and 'bugged' them now because who knows what would have happened if we'd just waited for them to contact us.
