I love all things Reece's and when i found this recipe i cant help myself they are amazing for any yanky peanut butter sucker.

1/2 cup butter
1 3/4 cups smooth peanut butter
500gr icing/powdered sugar
1 tspn vanilla
block of good quality chocolate (i use aldi chocolate as its Belgian and cheap)

cream butter and peanut butter together add vanilla and half the icing sugar and mix well, then add as much of the rest of the icing sugar as you can till you get a nice crumbly well mixed consistency.
melt choc over water or in microwave till melted then make balls of the peanut butter mix and dip in chocolate with a fork and let the excess run off. then place on grease proof paper on a tray.
refrigerate to set and trust me they wont last long!

Sounds great:) Not sure any of the Aussies I know would eat them, but if they don't want them...:)

I got some people to eat rice crispy squares, but they all said they were too sugary. That plus the pinkness:) I could have thrown away the pink ones to make them white but that would have been a waste:)

Buppa's Bakehouse in Newtown do a fantastic chocolate peanut butter pie with Hershey's syrup drizzled over the top if anyone happens to be in the Sydney area. :)

That's an American bakery. I applied, and the woman (owner) told me they were looking for someone full-time. I still haven't heard back (from anywhere, actually). :) They even have Ben & Jerry's there.

Hahahaha! I made pinky-white Rice Krispies squares for Christmas, just to see how it would come out. Eventually I had to throw half the pan away because they were just too sickly-sweet! Sugar shock ahoy! :rollin:

Peanut butter chocolate balls sound very yummy. Thanks for posting the recipe!

I'm Australian and I love Reese's Pieces, though I haven't tried the peanut butter cups. I think these peanut butter balls sound delicious.

The PB Cups are 10 times better than the pieces, so if you like them you'll like the cups:)

The tiny grocery around the corner from me just got a box in the other day (the cups) and had the whole box sitting on the counter top ready to stock th shelf. I wouldn't have even bought them at home but just couldn't help myself here. Funny how that works! :-)

I made these just before Christmas & everyone loved them. I sent a platter with my BF to his office and he said all the gals thought they were the best thing ever!

So... do these taste like Reese's then? :o

I'm craving those really bad right now. I'm like Rachael - didn't think much of them back in the states but now I feel I must have them! :rollin:

Thanks for sharing the recipe! I can't wait to make them.

I made a batch of brownies for my son's Scout meeting tonight and everyone loved them. 2 different people made rice crispy treats which I thought was surprising. What is with the marshmellows in this country? Just wrong on so many levels. :)

There are 2 things that my husband refuses to even put in his mouth - anything with peanut/chocolate like Reece's Cups AND pumpkin pie. I have tried for 13 years to get him to just take a bite and he absolutely refuses. :$
