Hi all, just introducing myself! My name is Anita and I am working for a American TV show called "House Hunters International" for HGTV and I am looking for American families or couples under 50 who would like to tell us their story about their move from America to Australia. If you are interested please email me or phone asap. We would like to start filming in about 3 weeks time so if you have a great story please get intouch with me for more details. The family or couple will get US$1500 and have their own 1/2 hour show to keep! It's loads of fun! Thanks, from Anita Anita Poteri Auckland, Associate Producer, Leopard Films USA Australian based, Wk/Hm: 07 5485 4226, Mb: 0408 275 216 Email: anitaguy@hotmail.com www.leopardfilms.com |

Welcome! I enjoyed watching this show while still living in the US. It was fun to see Americans getting culture shock as to how different homes are in different countries compared to the US. Australia certianly has some major differences and surprises in store for Americans who might assume things here are just like at home. Does the show just follow people who are buying a home or does it also follow renters sometimes too? |

They normally do both rentals and buying but this series they are only filming people who bought a house. I'm glad you like the show. You can also see it on the UK livestyle channel here in Australia. Last series we filmed an American family in Melbourne and we stayed in St Kilda - I luv that place - great food on your doorstep! I wonder if I had one of your pastries? |

Hi Rose, yes House Hunters International has been going for a while. This is the second series I have worked on and they film 26 shows per series all over the world. I have filmed families and couples in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Melbourne and New Zealand. I'm also hoping to film an Aussie family in Bali. If you would like to ramble on TV please email me on anitaguy@hotmail.com would love to hear your story and about the country town you live in. thanks, from Anita |

Hi Rose. There is a channel in the US cable market called HGTV (Home and Garden TV, www.hgtv.com). They have a lot of people buying houses shows, one of which profiles people who are in the market to buy in a country other than America. Sometimes shows the moves, sometimes not. Always Americans from what I've seen, mostly couples but sometimes individuals. |

Yeah it has in the past been all Americans moving to another country but the last series they have made it any international family moving from one country to another. I filmed UK family moving to the Gold Coast, Aussies moving to NZ + several American families moving to different parts of the world. It is a great show - real estate / travel show and it's great fun being involved in this production. |
