I found a Filipino grocery store. They had "cheese whiz" there. The label looked the same (except for the foreign language).. but it wasn't the same color. It kind of looked like peanut butter. Has anyone tried it? I'm not sure I could get past the color of it, even if it did taste the same.

They also had a bottle of Downy... I wanted it but couldn't bring myself to pay $15.00 for it. (I googled homemade fabric softener and have found a pretty good substitute).

um, Vicki? EWWWW  Guessing you didn't buy the Cheez Whiz, so I'm hoping it was the pic on the can that looked like pb, and not the actual stuff!
I was a Downy-lady for years. I currently use Cuddly Ultra (Sensitive/hypoallergenic) if it's on sale, or forget it 8)

I'm afraid not Lisa... it was the actual stuff that was a brown colour. NO... I certainly did not buy it! lol. Even if it tasted the same it would be weird to eat it. After nearly a year here I still miss my orange cheese. I have discovered that the Kraft Colby is as close to home cheese taste that I've found.
I have tried all the fabric softeners here and cannot find one I like. I made my own with Pantene conditioner, vinegar and water. It makes them a bit softer than the softeners here (although it's probably clogging up the washer- lol).

Ok call me paranoid but I am suspicious foods that are made in China or other 2nd/3rd world countries... if its not made in Australia, New Zealand or the US then I don't buy it.
