Just saw it. It's awesome. A few bits are changed in the movie, but the feel of the book is there. Subtitles don't get in the way at all. GREAT MOVIE. 4 Goodonyas. ETA the trailer. Edited by Bindie, Apr 11 2010, 12:29:17 AM.

My son saw it when he was in Finland/Sweden last summer (northern hemisphere summer). (eta: where it was called "Men Who Hate Women".) He saw the second one, too, and said that's excellent as well, so got me reading the books. I hope to see it soon!

Since the movie title seems to change depending on the country... what are the names of the books? |

I love Stieg Larsson's books...if you like Stieg Larsson, check out Henning Mankell. He's a great Scandanavian mystery writer, also. |

Hi Lisa---I'm glad you liked Mankell's books. I've read all of his Kurt Wallendar books and have "Depths" and "The Eye of the Leopard" on my shelf. Hope to read them on our trip from California to Newfoundland this summer. By the way, congrats on your husband's retirement! It's so wonderful to have the freedom to travel when you want and jump into the fun of life with both feet. You mentioned that you might head down to Kal. I you do, please say hi to Pamm for me. I miss reading about her adventures and hope that she and Jason are doing well. My husband and I retired early and now we are enjoying raising our kids full time (although we retired early, we had kids late). My husband was a researcher for 30 years, but he is also a high school physics/maths/science teacher. We're hoping that WA will resume their 457 visas for teachers in the public schools so we might have an opportunity to live and work there for a few years, but at this rate we might make it over on a retirement visa first. Take care! |

Thanks for the congrats, Bethann! We're LOVING it!!! I talk to Pamm a lot, they're doing GREAT, I'll say "Hi" from you! We'll get out there soon, it's so sad that the earthquake ruined so many of the historical buildings in Kal And I'm glad that the Whittakers had no damage!Off to the library tomorrow, there's 2 more Mankell books reserved for me. I would SO love to see you over here, I hope it's soon! Lisa |
