The money was taken from my debit card for the visa application last Thursday. So at least it's paid for even if it's not accepted..lol. That was a joke I hope. I gave my email address for correspondence so does anyone know how long it usually takes once they take the money for your application until they contact you to let you know they have it and it's being processed or tell you your case worker's name?

Thanks...just nervous and excited and antsy. ;)
Applying for - Partner Visa: Offshore Temporary and Permanent (Subclasses 309 and 100) / Sent May 15th - received at Embassy on May 17th. Received email from NP (my C?O) on May 26. Waiting :) . Received Lable free grant letter Sept 17 and arrived in Australia October 19 as a temporary resident. Awaiting my permanent residency now.

Hi,
My credit card was charged on April 9, 2010. My agent received an email on 4-13-10 (and forwarded it to me) that it is on her desk and gave her name, phone number, email addy-contact info.

I haven't heard anything from anyone since that time. 1 month down I guess... I wish they'd hurry it up.

Are you offshore or onshore? Where are you going to (or do) you live in Australia?

Hi. I know exactly how you feel. My fiance lodged his PMV on 15/4/10, letter received by agent from CO on 23/4. Aparently it said initial assessment will take about 6 weeks. My agent also said that after the initial assessment it can take 4 - 6 months for application for visa to be finalised. I was devastated. Our case is a bit complex, but we had our hopes pinned on it being processed within 3 months. This is torture!!!!

My CO is NP. Got the email from her on May 26 with all her contact info and information :) So I'm waiting and hoping. I made the appointment for medicals for myself and my daughter. We're going June 14 :) I'm getting really excited..it finally feels like we're getting somewhere. I'm offshore, by the way...I'm in North Carolina.

(Tors edit to remove case worker's full name. Please see the disclaimer at the top of the main section page. Thanks!)
