Hulu without a proxy filter

Good news for those of you down under that want to watch Hulu or other streaming video sites, but can't because they are restricted to US users. Lifehacker has a post on how to set up Firefox to access those videos without using proxy filters or other craziness. Still takes a little bit of work, but far less than other techniques I've seen.

I'm not a computer geeky person so I hope I can make it work :)

I gave this a go on my Mac and it worked for a bit, but the second time that I tried - it failed. Not sure how long this loophole will be available, as it appears that they are starting to block out certain IP addresses. Totally worth while when it's working, though - proxy servers can be so slow!

I was thinking the same thing. This only works until they figure out to ignore the referred by IP address. Then it is time for the next hack! :finger:

Have you guys heard of CastTv.com? I just got on to it last week, but it has lots of free tv shows that I can't find elsewhere (stuff from Bravo and Mtv). Not all episodes of everything are free, but the majority are. I finally got to catch up with my trashy obsession for the Real Housewives of NY!

They show the real housewives of xxx on Foxtel. Of course they are totally unreal "housewives":)

I don't get Foxtel for my "Arena" (aka "Bravo" repackaged) fixed so this is the next best thing.

Ooo that's so exciting! I'll have to try it too. Right now I use Anchor Free (Hotspot Shield) to watch my junky MTV and ABC TV shows :) It is annoying with the whole slow proxy server thing but it's better than nothing. I have a mac too, so I'll have to test this method out for Hulu and see how I go!
