Landed in Sydney yesterday! No problems with customs - even my tea made it through the inspection of the cute little inspection dog, and the electronic no-stamp visa proved no issue at all. Sydney was gracious enough to provide a GORGEOUS day for my return and we at lunch outdoors at our favorite cafe in Potts Point, wandered Bondi to Bronte, and picked up a few things at KMart before I had to go home and call it a "night" at 7:45p.m. I'm not up early looking at Ruschcutter's Bay in the dark and listening to the cocatoos and ravens who are up early with me. Australian adventure begins! |

cherryRipe33 - We'll have to grab a coffee when you get here and reminisce about the Sunshine State! I worked for a theatre in Sarasota for the better part of 10 years, so even though I'm not from there originally, it definitely feels like home - or one version of home, anyway! AaronD and AmbroseChick - I have Montana connections, too! My dad's family were some of the original Montana homesteaders and they lived there for 5+ generations. My dad was born in Deer Lodge and grew up in Bozeman. I lived there for a year about five years ago and try to visit as often as I can. Actually, the tea the I brought through customs was from the Leaf and Bean in Bozeman. :-) |

Im not originally from there either, but I spent my childhood there for 10yrs then moved away. I moved back in 2005 so I could hit the beaches and now moving to Sydney. It's like home since I've spent so many years there. We'll definitely have to meet up for a coffee and a pastry sometime! |
