Omg. Final questions on these pageants can be quite entertaining. As for Miss Philippines ... WTH, what was that!?!?!?
Being Filipina by heritage (but American as Apple Pie so my fiance says), I have to admit I was a bit embarrassed and wanted to crawl under a rock hehehe ... j/k I mean, the contestants that didn't even speak english answered their questions so much better. "Major Major" Boo boo! Does anyone else on here (especially w/Philippine background) level w/me? Oh well, good for her though. She made the final 5 :)

Kudos to Miss Australia, too! You go girl :goodonya:

Final Question

Yes, I agree! I'm a Filipina/American as well (born and raised in NY though) and our "name" certainly has been getting a bad rap in the media lately. From the Miss Universe pathetic answer to the botched hostage takeover in Manila, I can't hep but feel a bit embarrassed as well.

Hopefully Charice will make us proud on Glee :P

I saw that, too! I'm whiter than white, but that was cringe-worthy.

...At least she didn't blabber on about "Everywhere like such as the South Africa and the Iraq," right?

Yes, likewise! When are you heading this way? Is it for work, love or pleasure?

Me? No. I'm English mutt/Catholic on my mother's side and Slavic Jew on my father's side. One of my childhood best friends's mother was Filipina, though.

Did you see Miss South Carolina? She could have sounded like this. (I love the look on Mario Lopez's face!)

I should be getting back to Oz in the next couple of weeks yay!
Love & Pleasure: My finace is from SYD. We've been together for a few years now, and finally decided that I will be the one to move. We've been commuting back n forth, and I've lived there for a total of almost one year (between three lenghty trips) since we've been together. We are sooooo over the back n forth thing. I absloutely love it there! We're just waiting for my visa to be issued - then I'm jumping on the next flight over. What about you?

We've been here almost ten months now. We're on 457 contract. We'll see what happens when our time is up :) Fortunately, it seems like we may have options...
