Hi all, Does anyone else on here dive? I've been on a couple liveaboards departing from Cairns (Pro Dive) & Airlie Beach (Pac Star). Have any of you been on any that you could maybe recommend? What about Reef Encounter? I read up that it was a nice vessel. Is it permanently moored and stationary, or does it travel to each site? Budget: $1000/person Length: 3-5 days Thanks guys

I've been on a couple of day trips out of Cairns, but not liveaboards. Most of my Cairns dives have been through Pro Dive and they haven't steered me wrong so far. I think you definately need to do your research though. It seems like dive charters based in Cairns are always getting into trouble about something. Keep an eye on www.cdnn.info. They keep up with the dive news around the world. |
