Possibly because they are semi-Victorian. Back in the 90's Fitzroy Lions (a Melbourne based team) merged with the Brisbane Bears to create the Brisbane Lions. Not sure how many of the Fitzroy supporters now follow the new team though. My team made it nowhere near the finals, poo. Hubby doesn't care anyway, he hasn't picked a team yet. |

Its just easier when you start attending games week in and week out to support the team that is from your area. I switched NFL and baseball allegiance when I moved from Minnesota to Washington.
