I have a question about the application dates.

Since there is a waiting time of a few months for the PMV, what date do they start from? Date the application was received by immigration, the date the credit card was charged or when a C.O. is assigned? The reason I was asking this is that when I received the e-mail from the C.O. in January, under my name was the date they received my application which was Dec. 13th.

:headscratch: Not sure what/why you're asking... most things go by the date you lodged the application (received by Immigration, I guess!).

The dates you must enter Australia and marry by on your visa Grant letter and visa go by the dates of your medical and FBI check, they are both good for one year, so whichever comes first.
Does that help?

Oh, I was asking the above question because of the date that is under my name on my first and only e-mail from my C.O. It says Dec.13th but I didn't receive the e-mail with my File # and C.O. until Jan. 11th. I just was wondering which date they were working by.

Question: How long does it take for the Australian Government to look over medicals when sent to Australia? I didn't know they sent the results to Au, I thought they just reviewed them in Washington.

Also have another silly question, is no news really good news in these cases? I mean I am really surprise that my C.O. hasn't asked me for any additional info. I wonder if he even got to my app. yet or how much longer it will be. I have even looked over my copy of my app, just to see if it is all complete which it is. I would love to e-mail my C.O. but I am so afraid to do so. :(

Kiandi? RELAX, Hon! :hugs:

(I know, easy for me to say, sitting over here with dual citizenship, huh?) But really, I heard NOTHING for 4 months, which was when they wanted me to see a specialist because of info on my medicals. I don't know if all medicals are sent to OZ or not, nobody knows how and why they do what they do, and you are definitely making yourself crazy (which I did, too!).
And whatever the wait time they told you for processing is probably pretty much what it'll take. Mine was 4-6 months, but I believe it's longer now? So really, I hope you can relax a bit and wait it out... :hugs:

My husband and I have been married for 13 years and there was no peace of mind for us during the visa process... its stressful... do your best to distract yourself... spend time with friends and family... eat Taco Bell every day... go for a walk... its so easy to not take care of yourself and because so much of this process is out of your hands... you just have to let it go and know that it will happen. :) Hugs.
