 Kiandi's Timeline October 5th, 2010 - Fingerprints done at county sheriff's department for FBI check October 7th, 2010 - State police checks done and also sent away forms for FBI check October 15th, 2010 - Received state police checks back October 24th, 2010 - Fiance made initial contact with marriage celebrant October 26th, 2010 - Fiance received letter regarding NOIM lodgement from marriage celebrant November 26th, 2010 - Received FBI checks back December 9th, 2010 - Received fiance's part of the visa application December 10th, 2010 - Sent away frontloaded application to immigration (minus medicals) December 13th, 2010 - Immigration received frontloaded application December 14th, 2010 - Credit card was charged the visa application fee January 11th, 2011 - Assigned a case worker January 12th, 2011 - Medicals done January 18th, 2011 - Medicals received by immigration March 31st, 2011 - Visa Approved!!!!!!! Hey Kiandi, I was just noticing that you're kind of at a half way point...you're wedding date is only as far away as you've already waited for your visa! I like seeing those glass half full kinda things...it makes me feel like I can get through the maddening wait. Hopefully it will help you too. Where will you and your fiancé be getting married? In the states or Australia? I keep an eye out for your posts b/c I feel like I'm right behind you, so here's hoping you hear something soon...so I can too!

Thank you and yes, all this waiting is maddening! It's also nice to know my posts help you out! I try to read everyone's posts to get tips and to see where they are in the whole process as well. Anyways, to answer your question, we are planning on getting married in Australia first then again in the Fall in the U.S. Wish me luck!! Oh and keep me updated on your progress too!! |

One Sweet Dream Came True Today!!!!!!!! I'm going to make it to my wedding!!!!!!!!!!  I got word that my visa was granted about 1 1/2 hours ago!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It took 11 weeks and 2 days and I can't believe it finally came through!!!!!! Good luck for those few who are still waiting!!!
