I had a table of contents. My application was organized into these sections:

- Applicant's Documents (My immigration forms, health checks, stat dec, etc)
- Sponsor's Documents (Partner's Forms and stat dec)
- Mail addressed jointly (There was enough to warrant it's own section)
- Other Documents (Form 888s and other stuff like invitations, letters from family, photos, etc)

Each section was lettered and had a mini table of contents on a cover page showing what it contained. The main Table of Contents was two levels deep:

Section A: Applicants Documents
- Statement about relationship
- Form 80
... Etc

If this helps with organization: http://usa.embassy.gov.au/whwh/DIAC_InfoSheet.html

PRESENTATION OF APPLICATION

Please DO:
- divide supporting papers thematically (eg financial; statements; personal documents)
- send a representative selection only of copies of letters and photos
- use paper slide clips only
- place application form on top followed by sponsorship form
- attach next key personal documents (marriage and birth certificates etc)
- attach next statutory declarations and notarised supporting statements
- attach balance of supporting documents

I don't actually have my copy of the cover letter/list of documents, but it did look a lot like what blarg posted. :) Making one is useful when getting the application together!

What is a "No Further Stay" and how do you end up getting one of those? After what happened to me yesterday at the airport, I'm nervous that they are going to slap my ass with one of those. LOL

The 8503 No Further Stay condition means that you can't apply for an extension or a new visa onshore; once your visa is up, you must leave the country.

Some visas have an automatic NFS condition. Others, it's entirely at the discretion of the DIAC. For example, if they think you don't have enough money to support a further stay, if they think you're not a genuine tourist, or if they think you're an overstay risk, then you can be slapped with one. :(

Hey everybody!!

I'm finally back in the good ole USA. I got here on Thursday. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I sprung into action pretty much immediately, on Friday I went to the police station and got my state background check and my fingerprints done and I mailed my fingerprints off to the FBI.

And today....................... I mailed in my application!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was going to do it yesterday but I didn't want to do it on Friday the 13th. LOL

So I'm officially in the waiting game now I guess. LOL I got delivery confirmation on the package (it was almost 500 pages all together) so I should know in a couple of days when they receive it in Washington D.C. Then hopefully in a few weeks I'll know who my CO is and we can all exchange notes. LOL

I put together most of the application while I was in Australia and when I got home all I needed to really do was get the security stuff and my birth certificate. LOL

I'm going to try not to go crazy while I'm waiting. Luckily I have a wedding I'm in and some other events to keep me busy while I'm home this summer.

Where do you get those little trackers from? The ones that people put in their signatures?

I got my e-mail acknowledgement today!!!!! My case officer is D.N. Though I'm going to search the site to see if I can find any info on this case officer, I'd love to get some input from people who have dealt with D.N. directly.

OMG I can't believe it's officially happening!!!

Edited to add: OMG there is a whole thread on D.N.!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
