Ok, we just got back from our holiday to the States and here is a list of what I ended up buying and bringing/shipping back:

Winter boots and wool/leather coats for Joe and myself
Shoes - lots of em! About 8 new pairs of flats for me - new black and brown dress shoes for Joe
A new suit for Joe
5 new dresses for me
6 pairs Levis for Joe
Sweaters and casual shirts for Joe - not as many as me; but a nice amount
3 pairs dress pants for each of us
4 pairs jeans for me
Several new skirts and leggings
New button down dress shirts and ties for Joe
A TON of sweaters and tops for myself - A TON!(I think about 6 sweaters, 10 singlets and about 20 shirts/blouses)
A years worth of stockings, tights, undies, nighties, bras, sleepwear, socks etc... for me
A years worth of socks, underwear and singlets/tshirts for Joe
Scarfs, hats and gloves
About 12 new pairs of earrings
several new pairs of sunnies for each of us
5 new handbags for me - 2 Michael Kors - 3 Vera Wang
New Perfume and make-up - 6 mascaras, 3 eyeshadow quads, 4 mineral powder foundations - eyeliners - lipliners etc...
Bath and Body Works - 6 large body wash - 6 large hand wash - 12 small lotions - 2 large body spray
Some fun American paper plates, napkins and party supplies (we were there over Memorial Day)
Ziploc and Hefty Storage bags (quart and gallon) and Ziploc leftover containers - lots of these!

A years worth for each of us of the following:
Deodorant
Hair styling products - John Freida and J. Crew - Yay!!
razor refills
toothbrushes
toothpaste
Sudafed
Tampons - for me not for Joe ;)
Halls cough drops
Cold and sinus medicines
Body wash and soap for Joe
Thermacare Heat packs
Tide pens :)

Food stuff:
Bags and bags of Sweet and Low for Joe
Marshmallows
Real Ketchup
Hearshey's Syrup
Lots of Crystal Light!
BBQ Sauce
HVR packets
Bags of:
Toll House Chocolate chips
Reeses Peanut Butter Chips
Butterscotch chips
Giant bags of Reeses PB cups, Hersheys miniatures, kisses and bliss
Canned food we can't get here

A large box of Thanksgiving decorations - didn't buy these, just got them out of storage to send :)
Some favourite books from storage

We spent a little over $300.00 to ship three very very large boxes back with all the food and toiletry stuff. We have a friend who gets a FedEx discount so it would have been about $900.00 to ship with out her there getting us the better rates - if we didn't have that set-up there is no way I would have bought as much as I did.

I loved the prices - I couldn't get over how cheap everything was!

I used to Love shopping at Lane Bryant; but I was really disappointed by them this trip - they changed all their bras so nothing fit quite right and the clothing felt really cheap. I ended up buying very little there.

Torrid was epic! They had a huge sale going on - Buy one, get one half off on all their clearance which was all winter stuff! Score! I only spent about $300.00 there and walked out with all my jeans, 2 dresses and some great sweaters and tops. Also, I scored big at Kohls - cute shirt dresses and some great dress pants ( I had to hem them though!)

My sister took me grocery shopping for all the toiletries and some of the food stuff - She had a coupon for every item and the final bill was about $210.00 down from $331.00 before her coupons! I miss double coupons!

We spent about $3,500.00 total for eating out and all the shopping while we were there... If I had it to do over again I don't think I would have changed anything. I feel like we got just enough stuff without going overboard and getting too much unnecessary stuff. Looking around at all the new stuff, I still can't believe how much money we saved by buying there and bringing it back. The idea that $3,500.00 could translate into all our health and beauty shopping done for the year and practically new wardrobes for the both of us is a bit crazy - trying to do that here would just about bankrupt us!

Hopefully this list doesn't make you too jealous and gives you ideas if you have a trip planned or are about to move over here for good :)
