What store(s) do you miss the most?

Hi everyone,

I was thinking today what store I would like over here besides our Costco Melbourne Store. My Mustangs are finally coming from California, and I've been looking to buy some more tools (never can have enough-guys know what I mean). I miss not being near a Sears Store to buy Craftsman tools :yaay: . I know that there are good tools here (Sidchrome), but I miss being able to pop into a Sears store and buying those good ole American tools.

What are your favourites?

A good drug store like Walgreens where I can buy almost anything and I don't have to talk to little old ladies to get medication. A budget grocery like Winco.

Ross.
Trader Joes.
And, yes, yes, a million times yes to Walgreens. Gah, I hate having to ask for OTC and just accepting whatever random box is handed to you. I don't know how many times I have gone in, asked for something, and then they hand over the one choice they have and say, "that will be $25."

Have to say a REAL Target, too. Trader Joe's - definite yes. And Nordstrom's, especially Nordstrom Rack!

Yes - Ross - my #1 place to buy clothes. When I was back last June I bought a heap of clothes from there. I also miss my big thrift stores like Value Village.

Like Tierney, I miss a superTarget where I could get a Starbucks (although I do like the coffee in Melbourne much better), groceries, clothes, cleaning items, bday presents, school supplies, party favors from the dollar spot, all in one fell swoop.

I also miss the Dollar Stores, $0.99 only stores, etc. I'm planning my daughter's party and would love a source of cheap party favors.

Yeah, Trader Joe's and Nordstrom Rack. In my weaker moments, Starbucks for their cold drinks.

I don't know that I miss the stores so much, I'm not much of a shopper in person, would rather shop online. I just miss the hours. By the time I get out of bed, make a leisurely breakfast, clean up and potter around on a Saturday it is 3 pm, and the bloody shops shut at 4pm. WTH!!!! Even after a year I still have trouble getting motivated before 2 pm, because even if I manage to be ready to leave by 12:30 we then have to organize lunch because I refuse to drop $50 in a food court for substandard food for the family.
Maybe I miss being able to get my fav jeans from JC Penny, with a coupon, for $10 or $15.

I also miss real shopping hours, especially at grocery stores on the weekends. 5pm is way to early for a grocery store to close ever! In fact I think I miss decent hours more than the stores.

If I had to name what stores I missed they would be Target, Kohls, Belks, and Ross. I can't wait to go back in Dec... but it's going to be one expensive trip!!!
