I am try to find chile powder to make a pot of chile but all the chile powder i find is ground up hot peppers, I know it was a blend but can not find the recipe anyone got any ideas |

I think the blends have cumin and garlic powder in them. I bought the Masterfoods that CC mentioned and using the same amount (of just straight chili powder with no other ingredients) made my chili and tacos way hotter than what we are used to! So now I just use a little of the chili powder and add my own cumin and garlic powder. Play around with it and see! |

I think the chili powder that I get at safeway is pretty good but its a little bit warmer than what I'm used to. So, thanks for lrtting me know about the Costco brand, I will be going there this weekend so I'll keep my eyes open for it. |
